Autism is comprised of a number of previously, separately listed conditions. One of them is Asperger's Syndrome, which is considered a milder form.

The decision to roll Asperger's in with Autism has been a divisive one for those impacted by it, with some happy with the merger, while others aren't pleased at all, and find it completely unacceptable, and want a do-over.

Not unlike the reaction to the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy, really.
