Word Of The Day

In Canada, and many commonwealth nations, November 11th is marked as Remembrance Day, commemorating the end of The Great War. The War To End All Wars.

The idea is to remember those who gave their lives in that war, and that there would be no more wars after that.

However, much like in Hollywood, someone decided a sequel was in order, and we got World War II. Followed by any number of hostilities, including the Korean War, Vietnam, up to an including the wars in the Middle East.

It's called Remembrance Day for a reason. As in to REMEMBER the cost all soldiers paid. Not a lot of people in power seem to understand that. And for that, history will repeat itself.
