Word Of The Day

Our federal election in Canada will be held this Monday, October 19th. This is the people's chance to let the folks who want to be in charge what they think. Unfortunately, voter turnout in federal, provincial and I think territorial elections is low, around 60-65% on average.

That means 30-35% of our country either doesn't care or is too disillusioned to take an hour out of their time to give the folks who want to work in Ottawa a piece of their mind on how they want this country run. Compare this to other countries in the world where the idea of a vote is unheard of, and people have no say.

I'm voting. Because it's my right. And in this country, I have a say.

Okay, a mild squeak, but still, it's a noise.
