Word Of The Day

We have a federal election coming up in October, possibly sooner. The Federal Conservatives, the current party in power have already begun their door ringing.

The new Conservative candidate rang us up today, and I answered the door. He introduced himself and handed me a pamphlet and asked if I had any concerns about the current federal situation.

"Why yes," I said. "I'd like to see your leader thrown in jail."

He nodded. "I see I can't change your opinion right now. Thank you for your time."

He left, but I must admit that I have little doubt that he'll be our next Member of Parliament for our riding. This is Alberta. We are the Conservative homeland. Big Blue Country-- Sorry, what? We went NDP orange in the last provincial election? Huh. Well, I'm sure provincial politics and federal politics are completely different animals.
