It amazes me how someone can change so much in a decade.
It takes a certain kind of inner strength to go from destructively insecure and thoughtlessly self-sabotaging to recognizing that change is necessary, to deciding to make that change, to actually making that change. It's slow, it's painful, it's a thousand voices screaming, 'go back, it's easier that way'.
But these special few don't. They may stumble in that journey, probably want to quit, probably think, 'was that really a good idea for a tattoo?', then quit quitting and continue onward, knowing that it'll probably be rinse and repeat in a lifelong journey.
Those special few.
