Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't understand paying thousands of dollars for a video card to play computer games, when realistically, it'll be superseded by the next gen in less than a year.

It just seems wasteful.

Either that, or I'm just incredibly envious of those people who drop that kind of cash, and I'm simply lashing out in a passive aggressive way.
