Word Of The Day

I've seen two movies in actual movie theatres this years. That's two more than the last two years combined. Not pay-per-view on the couch. Actual movie theatres.

And I've missed that theatre experience, and I wondered if we'd ever get back to it. There was no shortage of cries that theatres were dead throughout the pandemic, and that streaming was the way of the future in experiencing films.

Well, watching movies on your TV is fine and all, but I assure you that given the choice between watching Thor: Love and Thunder on our not-wall-spanning-TV, or going to a theatre with a big screen, preferably IMAX, my wife will choose the theatre every time to see Thor get 'flicked'.

Long live the movie theatre.
