Brooklyn Nine Nine aired its final episode today. It's funny, because I remember watching the pilot when the show first aired. I didn't care for it, I thought Jake was a jerk, Amy was a suck up, and Holt was a stick in the mud. All by the book stereotypes.
A few years later, and I needed something to have as background noise while I drew. A channel was airing a number of episodes sin a row that night, so I turned it on, and tuned it out as I worked on the comic. As I drew, I found myself getting sucked in to these characters, their weird interpersonal dynamics, and the zany cases. Especially the Heist episodes. No so much the Judy episodes. I even started watching new seasons as they aired.
And now it's done. I'll miss it.
