Everyone can take some measure of pride in their country. Every nation and culture on this planet has accomplished some incredible things.

And there is nothing wrong with opposing views on what should make a country great. The important thing is that leaders from opposing views need to work together for what is best for all the people, and the future of their country, not staunchly dig in their heels while chanting 'it's us versus them!

Sometimes the greatest accomplishments are produced because of bashing heads together, and finding common ground to make something better than any one side could do on their own. It take time. It takes effort.

But in the end, democracy is worth it.
