Word Of The Day

As a kid, I was a film score enthusiast. After watching a movie I really liked, I practically camped out at the music store, waiting for the day that film's album would be released. I would gaze in pure joy at seeing it, practically throwing my money at the clerk as I ran home with a copy, then listening to those tracks for hours.

Back in those days, movies wouldn't be out on video until months, or even years after theatrical release. Listening to the score was a cheap way to replay those great scenes, like the stealing of the Enterprise, or Luke Skywalker's first duel with Darth Vader.

Yes, my parents had Nana Mouskouri, Gheorghe Zamfir, and Roger Whittaker. Me, I had John Williams, James Horner, and Danny Elfman.
