When I first adopted my greyhound, I was told to keep a tight leash, as these dogs may have a high prey drive and could charge off if they see a hare, which are common in my region.

When I first walked my greyhound, we saw a winter hare. My girl perked up her ears, shrugged and continued walking. Years later, my girl doesn't even bother acknowledging the hares. She's too busy sniffing the trees.
