Kid Flash is coming to the CW's The Flash TV series. Or at least, Wally West is. Keiynan Lonsdale has been cast in the role, and will appear in season 2 of the series. I have some mixed feelings about this.

On the con side, it feels too soon to have Wally appear, given that Barry is still figuring out his abilities. This isn't to say Mr. Lonsdale will be stepping into the yellow and red outfit anytime soon, but some people are nervous that his appearance will detract from Barry's story.

On the plus side, if handled well, this would be a growing experience for Barry, especially once (if the producers so decide) Wally gets his powers. Barry becomes the mentor, the wise one, to pass on his experiences to Wally, who one day (at least in the comics), will take on the mantle of The Flash.
