Most provinces in Canada have their love affairs with different parties every election or two, sometimes choosing Liberal, sometimes Progressive Conservative, and once or twice with the New Democratic Party just for a one night stand.
Alberta has had the same part in power since 1971. Generations have grown up with a Progressive Conservative government at the helm. This may come to an end by the end of election day today. Our staunchly conservative roots may be plucked out and sewn with NDP seeds.
It may very well be a completely new day tomorrow, politically speaking.
