I've been giddy this week.
While I've been a casual viewer of the TV show Arrow, because my wife watches it, I've been a regular viewer of the new Flash series. And this week's episodes of both shows left me geeking out.
One of the issues I've had with most super hero shows or movies, is that with the exception of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, each series took place in its own continuity. Spider-Man was the only super hero in his movies, same with Batman, Superman, Daredevil, yada yada.
But this week, Both Green Arrow and The Flash crossed over in to each other's TV series, and I spazzed as only a geek can spaz. It was like they just stepped off the page of the latest issue of Justice League. Their bonding time was limited, and it wasn't the well oiled partnership that current comics have had, but it's a nice origin.
It's cool for a comic book geek like me to see this. While there are some great super hero movies out there, it's time like this when a shared universe is greater than its individual parts. DC's finally getting on board. And it's been a long time coming.
