In the prairies of Western Canada, it's not unusual for us to have blistering hot summers, frigid winters and all manner of environmental chaos. We can go up to 35 degrees down to -35 and a wind chill of -55.

Sometimes I think we stay here for no other reason than for bragging rights to say we can deal with the cold.

That, or the cold froze caused our common sense to catch gangrene and it died off.
