Word Of The Day

So the new Thief video game from Eidos Montreal came out this week. I never played the first two games in the series, but did pick up Thief: Deadly Shadows for the PC, and despite criticism that it was limited by the console at that time, I enjoyed it. My wife enjoyed it too, hovering over my shoulder as Garrett snuck through The Cradle Asylum. It was like taking her to a horror flick, as she jumped and shrieked at every little noise. Good times. Now we have the reboot, and I had considered picking it up, but reviews have been mediocre with the main sticking point being that it's like three games slammed together with duct tape and spit. It also doesn't help that original voice actor Stephen Russell wasn't reprising his role.

Oh well, we'll always have the Asylum...
